Narcos is NetEnt's slot based on the cartel-era drama of the Narcos TV series, with 243 ways to win on 5 reels and 3 rows. Three features carry the game: the random Drive-By, the Locked Up re-spins and a free spins round with Walking Wilds.
Game mechanics
Wins are paid on 243 ways, so matching symbols count on adjacent reels from the left rather than along fixed paylines.
The volatility of Narcos is medium-high.
The Drive-By can strike on any base-game spin at random, Locked Up symbols start a short re-spin feature, and car scatters open the free spins.
Features
- Drive-By Feature. At random in the base game a cartel member opens fire on the reels, and high-value symbols hit by the bullets can become wilds.
- Locked Up Feature. Three or more Locked Up symbols on the same row start 3 re-spins in which only Locked Up and Golden Locked Up symbols can land, and each new one that lands resets the count to 3. A golden one may add a 2x or 3x multiplier, upgrade symbols or raise the starting values.
- Free Spins with Walking Wilds. Car scatters on reels 1, 3 and 5 at once give 10 free spins. During the round high-value symbols turn wild, and Walking Wilds keep the spins going until the wilds have moved off the reels.
How to play the free demo
- Look for car scatters on the first, middle and last reels of the Narcos demo together, the combination that starts the 10 free spins.
- When three or more Locked Up symbols land on one row, follow the re-spins: each new Locked Up symbol resets them to 3, and the golden ones can add multipliers or upgrades.
- Keep an eye out for the Drive-By as well: it has no trigger symbol and can fire on any base-game spin.
- In the free spins, follow any Walking Wilds as they step across the reels; the round keeps going until they have moved off.
Why try the Narcos demo
The Drive-By's bullets, the closed set of Locked Up re-spins and the Walking Wilds of the free spins each look different on the reels, and the demo lets you meet all three. Keep watching the golden Locked Up symbols to learn what multipliers, upgrades and raised values do to that feature.
