Lantern Luck is a low-volatility Habanero slot from 2022, set at a lantern festival with sakura blossom and glowing lanterns drifting over a 5x3 grid of 25 paylines. Its feature is a run of respins built on locked wilds that climb the reels, with multipliers in play.
Game mechanics
Line wins count along 25 paylines on five reels of three rows, framed by lanterns, blossom and mountain scenery. Wild symbols land on reels 1, 3 and 5, and the bonus revolves around them.
Wilds that arrive lock in place and set off respins. Each respin lifts every locked wild one row higher, and the respins keep coming, with no limit, until none remain on the reels. Multipliers can apply to wins during the feature, and Habanero publishes a maximum multiplier of 703x.
Features
- Locked wild respins. Wilds landing on reels 1, 3 and 5 are held in place and start a series of respins.
- Climbing wilds. On every respin each locked wild shifts up a row, and the series runs, with no limit, until the reels are clear of wilds.
- Feature multipliers. Wins landed during the respins can carry multipliers.
Why Lantern Luck has five RTP settings
Habanero's website lists five RTP settings for Lantern Luck: about 86%, 92%, 94%, 97% and 98%. Each version keeps the name and artwork, with the maths tuned to a different long-run return. The casino picks which one it runs, within any minimum its regulator sets. Studios say they offer several because markets differ: minimums vary between regulators, and casinos weigh taxes, margins and commercial terms. A higher setting does not guarantee a profit, and a short session can finish up or down either way. This demo uses virtual credits: nothing is deposited, withdrawn or paid out, so the setting has no financial effect.

How to play the free demo
- Wilds land on reels 1, 3 and 5 in the Lantern Luck demo, and each one locks in place and starts the respins.
- During the respins, follow each locked wild as it moves up one row per spin; the round lasts until no wilds are left.
- Check the win display in the feature, since multipliers can apply to wins landed during the respins.
Why try the Lantern Luck demo
A locked wild rises one row with every respin, so following one up the reels in the demo shows which lines it passes through before the round ends. The respins have no limit and stop only when no wilds are left, which lets you see how one trigger plays out from the first locked wild to the last.
